What inspired you to become a stylist, and how did you get started in the industry?

I didn't initially set out to become a hairstylist, but I've always been drawn to the world of beauty. It was something I fell into, and over time, it grew into a passion that's become a core part of who I am.

How would you describe your signature style or aesthetic?

Finding my personal style has been a journey. I've discovered that I feel most confident when I blend softness and strength. I love light colours like white and pink, which bring out my feminine side, but I also feel powerful in a sharp pantsuit.

What type of looks do you enjoy creating the most for your clients?

I'm all about creating personalised layers that work for each individual's lifestyle. With colour, whether working with brunettes, rich reds, vibrant coppers, or brondes, I love designing looks that feel luxurious and easy to maintain. Most of all, I enjoy teaching my clients how to care for their hair so they leave not only looking great but feeling empowered to maintain it.

Can you share a memorable moment from your career that made you love what you do even more?

The most memorable moments are always the ones where I'm really challenged. When I'm pushed out of my comfort zone, I grow as a stylist—and nothing beats seeing the joy on my client's face when we nail the look. That shared excitement is what makes all the work worthwhile.

How do you stay updated on the latest fashion and styling trends?

Instagram is my go-to for staying on top of what's trending. From new techniques to fresh colour ideas, I'm constantly learning and keeping myself inspired through what I see there. 

What's your favorite way to collaborate with clients to achieve their dream look?

I believe in really connecting with my clients on a personal level. I want to get to the heart of what they envision while keeping it realistic and achievable. This way, we're both on the same page, and the end result is something they feel amazing about.

How do you approach helping a client who is unsure about what style they want?

The first thing I do is ask them what they don't want. That helps me eliminate options right away and gives us a clearer path to find something they'll love.

What advice would you give someone looking to experiment with a new look but feeling nervous about the change?

I'd say that you never really know how you'll feel about a new style until you try it. Hair is constantly evolving, and so are we. If you trust the process, listen to professional advice, and stay open, you can have fun with it while ensuring your hair stays healthy.

When you're not working on a client's look, what inspires you creatively, either in fashion or beyond?

Serving others is at the heart of what I do. Whether in the salon, with my family, or through my church, connecting with people in meaningful ways keeps me inspired and motivated to grow in every aspect of my life.
